MAP, or monoammonium phosphate, is a water-soluble, fast-acting phosphate compound fertilizer with over 55% total nutrients. Its available phosphorus to total nitrogen ratio is approximately 5.44:1. It is generally used as a topdressing fertilizer and is also the primary base material for ternary compound fertilizers and BB fertilizers. It is widely suitable for a variety of grains, cash crops, and soil types, and is particularly well-suited for arid and low-rainfall areas.
